My career began in the UK Royal Engineers as a design draughtsman, with operational tours in Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia, and Kosovo (I became the tour hairdresser but you may not want me to help with that as I cannot promise what the outcome will be!)
Since leaving the military, I've held diverse roles including CAD Manager at Selfridges London, Functions Coordinator at Weymouth & Portland Sailing Academy, Document Controller for KBR in Afghanistan (yes back out there), Sportivator for Sports for Schools (Getting kids into exercise), Office Manager for a plumbing and heating company and many more but my most significant achievement is inventing the 'Bottle Buddi,' a product designed to help children remember their water bottles. I built this business from the ground up, successfully selling over 30,000 units across the UK over seven years, and was honoured with the eBay Innovation Award in 2018
I live in Plymouth, Devon and I'm married to James, a Royal Marine, and we have two wonderful children, Nyah and Frankie. Like many, life can get pretty hectic! That's why I created The Happy VA—to find that balance between work and life I've been looking for.
I'm also really passionate about using my experience to help entrepreneurs and small business owners achieve their goals. I'm a naturally happy person (hence the name!) and I love learning about new businesses, especially startups, because I know how much dedication they take.
If you think I could lend a hand, please send me a message or email, and let's have a friendly chat!
